The lure of Wrecks exploring sunken vessels, airplanes and automobiles is something most divers can't resist. The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course introduces you to Wreck diving and helps you develop the skills and knowledge necessary for safe and fun Wreck diving.

PADI Wreck Diver program covers the Wreck of the USS Liberty: Against the morning sunrise. As the crew had its breakfast, the sub glided silently at periscope depth and launched its first and only torpedo. The night watch on the USAT Liberty sounded the alarm, but it was too late for the doomed ship. The explosion tore a hole in the side of the Liberty and she starting taking on water. Although the tugs tried valiantly to get her to the repair yards at Singaraja, it wasn't to be. She beached herself at Tulamben, and sat there until the eruption of Mt. What do I need to start?

• PADI Adventure Diver certification ( or qualifying certification from another training agency )
• Minimum age: 15 years old

What will I do?

PADI Wreck Diver Program includes:

• The planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of wreck diving

• The preparation and use of lights, air supplies, special equipment, penetration lines and reels

• Limited-visibility diving techniques and emergency procedures

Note, however, that wreck penetration-training dives are limited to within the light zone and within 40 metres/130 feet from the surface, vertical and horizontal distance included. Since parts of the Wreck of Liberty lie in deep water, the PADI Deep Diver rating is highly recommended as a prerequisite for the PADI Wreck Diver program. This is also another great opportunity to pick up the PADI Nitrox Speciality
